UNESCO-World Bank position paper “Cities, Culture, Creativity: Leveraging culture and creativity for sustainable urban development and inclusive growth” will be launched during the High-level Event on 21 May 2021 – the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development!
Prof. Dr. Lidia Varbanova, Director of Master Program in Management in the Performing Arts and Industries was part of the working group for the development of this important and comprehensive document.
The paper proposes an innovative framework for culture and creative sector, which integrates creativity into urban recovery and sustainable development. The publication is available here.
In 2021, culture and creativity must be at the centre of building our societies anew. They expand opportunities for economic diversification and innovation, decent work, poverty reduction, climate action and gender equality.
